The Thesis
Bengali is spoken by hundreds of millions of people across South Asia and a diaspora spanning every continent. The catalogue available to them is thin, inconsistently licensed, and almost never authored for the device they actually watch on.
BanglaReels treats that as an acute vacuum rather than a niche. We commission original short-form drama at a production standard the format is not used to receiving, and we run the platform it plays on ourselves — player, edge and catalogue included.
Short does not mean cheap. If an episode runs four minutes, it is graded, scored and mixed like something that runs ninety.

The Format
Not clips severed from a longer cut. A series is blocked, shot and graded for a 9:16 frame from the first storyboard.

cliff-loop → Season 2Episode 05 ends on a cliffhanger — the loop returns to Episode 01 when the season is renewed.
Series written for short, vertical, sound-on viewing — with real story architecture across an episode run, not clips severed from a longer cut.
Our own origin, regional edge and player stack, so start time and bitrate are engineering decisions we can make rather than vendor behaviour we absorb.
A catalogue reachable at the same quality from Dhaka, Kolkata, London or Toronto — built for an audience a single-region rollout would miss entirely.
Colour, sound and typography held to a feature-film bar and applied consistently across the catalogue, because the format is the only thing that is small.
The Catalogue
Commissioned in-house, graded to one standard, and licensed to nobody else. Keep scrolling — the slate moves sideways.
Inside the House
We are in conversation with filmmakers who want the format taken seriously, and with partners who can widen where the catalogue reaches.
